As a Senior Mendix Developer, you make a significant contribution to Jumbo by developing user-friendly applications for our store employees. With approximately 50,000 users, you truly make an impact for our store colleagues!

Let’s get to work! This is what you’ll do:
You play a crucial role in developing a complete Mendix landscape of functionalities to support our store colleagues, on top of our new SAP S4 system. The scale and complexity of the store processes provide a challenging role as a Mendix developer, where you build new functionalities and ensure they remain robust and easy to maintain. You build it, you run it, and you own it! And you do all this together with the rest of the team.

Your workday as a Mendix developer at Jumbo:

9:00 – 9:15 Stand-up meeting to coordinate with the rest of the team
10:00 – 11:00 Refinement session with the Product Owner and the rest of the team to determine what will be built
11:00 – 11:30 Coordination with a fellow developer on how to build the new functionality
13:00 – 16:30 Focused time for development 

Together we are Jumbo: This is where you’ll work
You will join a “Store Employee Experience” team, where we build various applications with Mendix that will be used by 50,000 employees in our 700+ stores. You will be part of a team with testers, UX/UI designers, and a business analyst who helps uncover requirements and dependencies. Our Product Owner, together with the team, determines what the solutions will look like. You will always work with another Mendix developer in the team, but you will also have contact with Mendix developers from other teams.

You will occasionally visit a store to support with applications or gather feedback and coordinate with the domain architect for larger design choices in the Jumbo IT landscape.

Typically you
At Jumbo, we are looking for go-getters, people with good ideas and the courage to work together on them. • At least 5 years of experience with low-code application development (preferably with Mendix)
• A business mindset, problem-solving ability, and strong analytical skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills

• A gross salary between €4.200 - €5.500 per month (based on 40 hours).
• An annual bonus of max 5% of your annual salary, based on organizational goals.
• 30 days of paid holiday (with the opportunity to buy or sell days of paid holiday) and 8% holiday allowance.
• You build up a pension through participation in the Pension Fund for the Food Industry.
• An allowance for your travel expenses (€ 0.21 cents per kilometer with a maximum of 35 kilometers one way). We like to work together in the office, but you can also work partly from home.
