In your role, you promote a culture where "Continuous Improvement" is central. You ensure open, transparent communication and support a healthy work-life balance. The core values of the Jumbo DNA – Together, Winning, and Entrepreneurship – are at the heart of this. An important part of your role is supporting the development of your team members. By holding regular one-on-one meetings, providing constructive feedback, and linking this to a development plan, you give shape to this process.

In addition to coaching, you are also responsible for recruiting the right people, safeguarding the quality, cost, and stability of delivered platforms and software. You ensure that your teams take full ownership of their implementations. "You build it, you run it, you own it!"

Together, we are Jumbo: Where you'll work
You will lead the following teams:

Front-End Platform: This team builds and maintains a platform used across Jumbo to enhance developer efficiency and reduce the effort required to deliver front-end solutions—spanning web, app, and in-store applications.

DevEx (Developer Tooling): Focused on delivering self-service solutions to improve internal developer efficiency. This includes CI/CD, asset management, observability tooling, and more.As within our recently established domain for many it is new treating platform as a product, we are still growing. We’re looking for someone who can define and steer team performance using metrics using Scrum or Kanban frameworks but also Engineering KPI’s (such as Flow, Dora, Space, DevEx) —and who knows how to engage teams to consistently deliver top-tier results and grow our internal skills. You are open to sharing best practices and examples with fellow leads in the Platform domain. You’re also eager to collaborate with consuming teams to run pilots that measure Developer Experience and efficiency—helping to validate the value and impact of your teams together with your Product Owner and architect.

• Fostering an engineering mindset across teams.

• Driving structural process improvements to support teams and the broader organization.
• Managing costs for both internal teams and external suppliers.

•  A gross salary between €5.700 - €7.300 per month (based on 40 hours). 
• An annual bonus of max 10% of your annual salary, based on organizational goals.
• 30 days of paid holiday (with the opportunity to buy or sell days of paid holiday) and 8% holiday allowance.
• You build up a pension through participation in the Pension Fund for the Food Industry.
• An (electric) lease car. We enjoy working together at the office, but you can also work partly from home.
