Working with and for a smile
Jumbo's ambition is to be the most customer-oriented company. We want to surprise customers and exceed expectations, so that customers enjoy shopping with us. With over 700 stores in the Netherlands and Belgium, the option to have groceries delivered to your home via jumbo.com, our own distribution centers and colleagues in the office, we work together with all colleagues every day on that ambition. Doing business together to win over the customer, that is what we at Jumbo strive for.
As an APS Consultant you will make an important contribution to jumbo by working with the Advanced Planning System (APS) that plans the truck journeys to supply distribution centers, stores and online hubs. In this way, you contribute to keeping groceries affordable and reducing the impact on the environment. The goal is to build a reliable, stable, robust and user-friendly planning application landscape which is both cost-effective and first-class, and which meets/exceeds the expectations of the client and our IT users.
Let’s get to work! This is what you will do
As an APS Consultant you will you will translate process changes requested by the business into an IT solution which you describe in functional design. When the design is approved you and your team will build and test this functionality and you demonstrate what you build to the system users. When approved by the users it will become part of the system.
You will also sit down with users to see how they work with the system, so that we can improve the system together.
For the first year we have the following goal in mind
You will start learning about the Jumbo planning process and understand the APS system, its usage and its users by working together with an experienced APS Business Consultants. You will work on assignments that match your competence. Starting small assignments and it will become more complex as you grow in knowledge and experience. You bring your enthusiasm and drive to the team. And in return you end up in an enthusiastic team that combines cooperation and results orientation with enjoyment of work.
