As a Senior full stack cloud engineer you'll play a key role in Jumbo’s ambitions. Together with the SMDX team you will take on a diverse range of responsibilities, from designing and developing to maintaining and enhancing systems. You'll collaborate closely with our business colleagues and fellow developers to ensure our products meet our high standards of quality and performance. Your ability to adapt to evolving technologies and your dedication to staying at the forefront of the industry will be instrumental in achieving our ambitious goals.

We do this by having a shared passion of getting the best out of the latest technologies, including AI, using agile and DevOps best practices and challenging the existing order. We are proud of being the main distributor of master data through various microservices and other solutions, and of creating great value together.

We work closely with other engineers and our business colleagues and support them with pragmatic solutions to always be able to offer maximum value. Of course, with the aim of always coming up with the best data-driven solutions for Jumbo. We like to challenge colleagues to do things just a little bit better.

The SMDX team consists of 7 colleagues with a large set of skills, a Scrum Master and a Product Owner. As a Senior full stack cloud engineer, you will be part of the broader Customer & Assortment department.

Typical you

All our (future) colleagues bring a healthy dose of Jumbo DNA with them, and so do you! Additionally, you also have:

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience as a Javascript Developer with AWS cloud engineering
• Experience with full-stack development: from backend to frontend with Express NodeJs, NuxtJs, and database engineering, to optimize database usage, minimize queries, and optimize tables
• Experience with Terraform modules (for networks, compute, storage, CI/CD pipelines), Github Actions (for automated testing, security scans, and deployments), Node.js services (TypeScript) running on AWS Lambda, ECS/Fargate and EKS
• Experience with CloudWatch, DataDog and Kibana (for monitoring & observability)
• Extensive knowledge of cloud security for infrastructure as well as the microservices themselves to enforce best practices (IAM policies, VPC design, security groups)
• Experience with SAP BTP, HANA Cloud DB, SAP UI5, SAP BTP CI/CD are nice to have
• Excellent command of English

• A gross salary between €5.600 - €7.300 per month (based on 40 hours).
• An annual bonus of max 7,5% of your annual salary, based on organizational goals.
• 30 days of paid holiday (with the opportunity to buy or sell days of paid holiday) and 8% holiday allowance. You build up a pension through participation in the Pension Fund for the Food Industry.
• An allowance for your travel expenses (€ 0.21 cents per kilometer with a maximum of 35 kilometers one way). We like to work together in the office, but you can also work partly from home.
• Room for entrepreneurship, growth and development. Not only in your job but also through our Jumbo Academy, online training through GoodHabitz and with a training budget.
• Daily fresh lunch in our Foodcafé, good coffee and fresh fruit. You can sport daily at our own Jumbo Gym for a small fee.
