As a Engineering Manager, you improve and create a work environment where your teams feel happy and improve daily. You ensure open, transparent communication and support a healthy work-life balance, with Jumbo’s core values – collaboration, customer orientation, and continuous improvement – at the center. This way, you contribute to both the growth of your teams and Jumbo’s innovation.
Getting started! This is what you’ll do
As a Engineering Manager, you ensure your teams are successful, creating a culture of openness and collaboration where everyone feels safe to learn and grow. You are involved in the development of your team members by regularly conducting 1-on-1 conversations and providing constructive feedback. You ensure a customer-oriented approach, making sure the work of the teams serves the customer, motivating the team to think from the customer’s and/or store’s needs, and always seeking the best technical solutions. You give room for initiative and encourage boldness in coming up with innovative solutions.
Besides coaching, you are also responsible for recruiting the right people and monitoring the quality and progress of projects, ensuring your teams take full responsibility for their implementations. “You build it, you run it, you own it!” So, as a Lead Engineering, you are also responsible for the run, licenses, and infrastructure costs.
Together we are Jumbo: Here you will work

A lot happens at Jumbo: no day is the same, we switch quickly and look at how we can do better every day for our customers and colleagues. We encourage you to see opportunities and take initiative on matters that contribute to the objectives. With an informal working atmosphere, room for initiative, humor, and fun, you work at Jumbo every day with a smile.
