Let’s get started – What you’ll do
As an AI Platform Engineer, you work on a modern platform that enables teams to build, test, and operate AI solutions. Rather than focusing on individual use cases, you build the foundation that makes those use cases possible.
No two days are the same, but your responsibilities include:
- Developing platform services for AI and agent-based solutions;
- Building capabilities for model access, evaluation, and observability;
- Implementing guardrails and workflow orchestration for AI agents;
- Developing shared platform components for product teams;
- Integrating tools and services within the AI platform;
- Applying CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices;
- Managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code;
- Ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability of platform services;
- Documenting technical decisions and architectural choices;
- Collaborating with engineers and product teams on new platform capabilities.
Together we are Jumbo: This is where you’ll work
You will work within the Tech & Data domain at the Jumbo Tech Campus in Veghel. Here, we build the technology and platforms that support Jumbo’s digital future.
At Jumbo, things move fast. We continuously improve and encourage initiative. You will work in an environment where collaboration, ownership, and innovation are central, and where your work has a direct impact on teams across the organization.
What do you get from us?
At Jumbo, you’ll work in an environment where people come first and where you’ll have the opportunity to grow, take ownership, and make an impact within a rapidly evolving technology domain.

- Collaboration with experienced platform and AI engineers;
- An environment focused on ownership, quality, and continuous improvement;
- The opportunity to help shape the technical direction of the platform.
At Jumbo, we are looking for engineers who enjoy building scalable platforms and solving complex technical challenges. You combine technical depth with a pragmatic mindset and enjoy working closely with other engineers.
In addition, you bring:
- Experience building platform services used by internal engineering teams;
- Hands-on experience with AI and LLM-based solutions in production environments;
- Strong software engineering skills, including testing and CI/CD practices;
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP;
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code;
- Knowledge of observability, reliability, and platform engineering principles;
- The ability to translate technical challenges into practical solutions;
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience building AI evaluation or observability platforms;
- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG);
- Experience with agent platforms and multi-step workflows;
- Experience working in multi-cloud environments;
- Experience working within platform teams in larger organizations.
